Project Aurora is a theoretical Martian habitat that would be deployed in year 2020. The habitat is dedicated to growing bibb lettuce and algae in order to create a closed loop system that employs external solar panels to generate power. The habitat is an exploration of both poetic and technical values that can be helped to generate excitement about the exploration and future habitation of mars.  

The airbeam structural deployment process is designed to minimize moving parts to be transported and to propose a structural solution that is lightweight and easily employed. The structural system allows for the opportunity to create a translucent habitat that utilizes natural light.
